Roger Barcham of BMS Imaging Ltd is off to the Classic Rock Awards at the Roundhouse on November 13th to photograph ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Duff McKagan.
I'm really looking forward to my third visit to the Classic Rock Awards at the Roundhouse on November 13th. Among others, I will photographing ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the host for the evening, Duff McKagan, formerly of Guns N' Roses.
Primarily I am there to create a photo diary of the event for my client who are sponsoring an award, but I also give my time and images to help the promotion of the charity ChildLine Rocks. All the artists will be signing memorabilia for ChildLine Rocks to auction and the proceeds are passed on to Childline... a worthy cause.
In the past I have been fortunate to photograph and meet artists such as Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Slash. Last year I had the pleasure of spending a half hour in the company of the delightful Joss Stone and the bizarre Gene Simmons of Kiss.
I will post a review of the event once I have recovered from the effects of the after show party, which on past experience will be sometime in mid December. Regards Roger Barcham
